HOW TO DEAL WITH STESS

HOW TO DEAL WITH STRESS

It may feel like there is nothing you can do about stress whenever you get into that phase in your life. Responsibility wont stop piling up and daily hours will never be longer than the normal 24hrs. Getting things together in this life ain't something easy. Well guess what - we are all stressed. Yes, all of us but the only difference is that some are good at dealing with and covering their stresses better than others. The world can be overwhelming and there is a time you get to feel like you are alone. Well, you can deal with that stress and the good news is you are stronger than you think. Take time to follow these tips below on how to deal with stress and life will be a lot more easier for you.

Positive self talk

To be honest at one point in time, or maybe always, we all talk to ourselves. Instead of you criticizing yourself and telling yourself that you cant do this and that and that you can never be good enough, for a change tell yourself that you are strong and that you can face all the demons in front of you trying to block your way. Say anything to yourself that you feel can transform your mindset. The best part of positive self talk is that it brings about self belief which has the power to turn things around.

Talk to someone

This will make you feel better trust me. In some cases you get to hear what is bothering the other person and get to see that your stress is lighter than what the other person is carrying. Do not be so confined in your nest and take yourself out there to get that one person you can talk to it works perfectly well.

Avoid alcohol and drugs

I never get to understand people who always say that alcohol and drugs help them to relieve stress. To me that's cowardly because you try to immense yourself into a short period pleasure but when you get back to reality those same problems that have been stressing you haven't moved even an inch and you still have to face them after the drunkenness is gone.Avoid alcoholics whenever stressed and get yourself to think straight.

Get enough sleep

Sleep helps you relax your mind and the time you wake up you will be able to to think properly without feeling so much pressure.

Below are other techniques you can use to relieve stress

  • Manage your time
  • get involved in physical activity e.g exercise
  • try methods that help relax e.g yoga, meditation
  • eat healthy
  • think positively
  • accept situations you cant change
  • make time for hobbies
  • avoid aggression
  • keep active
  • maintain normal routines
  • laugh things out
  • do away with procrastination
  • jot it down

Try these tips above and see a positive change in your life.

  1. Useful tips I think getting enough sleep, avoiding alcohol and stimulants a big one but also teaching people to be in the moment. When you are totally in the moment there is very little room for anxiety and stress
